Submission Container/Tube: (T192) Amber plastic transport tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Collection Instructions: Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s). (Serum gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of serum frozen in an amber (T192) plastic transport tube to protect from light.

 

Note: Label specimen appropriately (serum).

 

 

 

Plasma

Collection Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA)

Submission Container/Tube: (T192) Amber plastic transport tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Collection Instructions: Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s). (Plasma gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of EDTA plasma frozen in an amber (T192) plastic transport tube to protect from light.

 

Note: Label specimen appropriately (plasma).
